Hello! Blogging has been on my to do list lately. I have wanted to share some of the work I have been doing but I also want it to have a little more meaning then posting a bunch of pictures. This home lifestyle shoot was the perfect opportunity.
I met this beautiful family back in November for a holiday shoot. They were a happy and an easy-going family of 3. Spring arrived and Baby C was born. Mom reached out to me and asked if I would be up for photographing them again but this time at their home as a family of 4. It is always a nice treat when I have the opportunity to meet a new teeny baby within the first few weeks of life. Although, I consider my girls to still be babies (Ages 2 & 4), the newborn stage seems like a lifetime ago to me. The days, weeks and months pass so quickly that you forget what it was like until you see a newborn again. It is only natural you want to capture every moment of their life at this stage. It was a bit dark out that day but I found a couple of spots in the house that worked well for natural light to capture this little sweetie.
I will never forget seeing my two girls together for the very first time. My oldest embraced her younger sister without reservation so it was sweet to witness Baby C and her Big Brother together. He was so happy and sweetly talking to her while I was there. He also happened to be celebrating his 3rd birthday that day so I was getting a lot of smiles from him while talking about his dinosaur themed party.
Last but not least, we got the family of four together and grandparents who were also in attendance for this occasion. As you can see, beautiful newborn photography can happen anywhere. The beauty is found when you focus on the simplest things….love.
